Reported directly to the CEO.

Independently developed a project from design through deployment using a mobile scanner that scanned bar codes for upload through a Windows Form application. The application sent the data to a.NET web application which made the data manageable by an end user before storing it to a database for reporting.

The cost of this system could reduce the price of a standard system by 50% of a comparable legacy system.

Additionally, the user is not constrained to one location by using a new mobile scanner, greatly increasing the number of applications for this system.

As part of the Boston College VCIC team, we attained third position in the New England VCIC competition.

Venture Capital Investment Competition(VCIC) is venture capital competition for Top MBAs across the globe. Each student team plays the role of a venture capital firm that must go through the entire VC investment process in an extremely condensed time period. Each team performs the following steps:

Reads real business plans from entrepreneurs currently seeking VC funding
Watch entrepreneurs “road-show” pitches
Sit down one-on-one with each entrepreneur
Choose a deal (one venture to invest in)
Negotiate a term sheet with that entrepreneur
Sit down one-on-one with VCs for feedback

2D Visualizer for the Wikipedia Database

Honors Research Thesis (2008 – 2009)

Analyzed relationships and patterns to database information which lead to the creation of a custom data visualizer.

Documented all research and presented to the Smith College department of computer science and other invited guests.

We present a visualizing tool that allows users to explore hidden information in Wikipedia. Users can discover trends and relationships among pages and the contributors that make revisions to these pages. Our visualizer is coded in Java using Prefuse, a visualizing toolkit for Java that allows developers to create almost any 2D graph they want.
